Registration for the 7th Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon has well exceeded organisers’ expectations by achieving its target of 48,000 runners in just seven weeks. Registration numbers for the event this year far outstrips that of previous years with the current number surpassing last year’s total of 40,500 runners.
Additional 2,000 running slot were also given end September making it the best participant ever at 50,000. I'm excited about it and hope this will continue. I know HK and Bangkok do have this yearly event and thanks to Standard Chartered for making this possible...and offcourse not forgetting other sponsors as well.
It is very encouraging to see that the spirit of the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon resonates so well with all running enthusiasts locally and internationally. Well, let me finish this one to consider the next one.
