Eversince PU started her new job, she has been telling me that she wanted to buy me lunch/dinner. Partly i believe she gets quite a good raise in salary. Noticed the Ipod Video she had even before she started working at the new place! BTW, do note that other friends are uploading songs for her! Sorry babe, Rain will never be in my Ipod.
3 months i reckoned had passed and all i hear is still, yeah i will buy u lunch/dinner. Its not the lunch or dinner that matters as much, its the action to make the effort that matters. I guess in a lot of ways, the terms that is no such thing as free lunch is true. On another note, i am grateful for the salary increment that we recieved yesterday and what a pleasant surprise. When u expect less, any incremental value given is a pleasant surprise. My CEO called me at nite asking whether i am ok with the increment! Does that mean if i say no, they will revise it upwards? I don't think so. He did mention that he heard that i was offered a job by a competitor.
Well, my team member was happy and i am too, but don't expect anything from me though because..there is no such thing as free lunch rite!
