Last Friday, i managed to slot myself for Iftar with orphanage kids from Rumah Titian Kasih. It was the first for me surrounded with kids from as young as 3 months to 17 years old. There were about 80 of them and we managed to prepare some activities like bag coloring, shirt painting and others. It was quite awkward initially for me but after an hour or so, i managed to somehow "fit" in the big group.
Its heart wrenching to know some of them are from broken homes, parents of drugs users, abandoned kids and one thing for sure, the crave for attention. We spend some time talking to them, eat and drinks with the kids, picture takings and some giveaway gift session that brighten up their day. Its a small time spent but i felt really good that day.
