Can u be friends with your best friend's ex? I guess it depends on the situation and how close the person is (the ex) with you before the break up and how well you know her/his exses.
In my own personal opinion, i do choose who i want to be friends with and out of respect to my best friends, i would choose which side of the fence i rather sit...but than again i can only try to understand their opinion(not that i have to agree or dictating who they should be friends with).
A rationale person will try and maintain good boundaries with discretion. Some friends i feel love talking about my ex to me. I'd be much comfortable if they don't espcially when i've told them over and over again. Honestly if they can't stop and respect my stand on it, i should consider letting the friendship go.
