Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2010 is making a conscious effort to help raise funds for many of Malaysia’s charities, so they can focus on what they do best - caring for and serving the less fortunate. The initiative is a community effort and through this, the Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2010 is taking a step forward to become a true community event and helping the less fortunate across all ages and ethnicities.
The target groups include underprivileged people with disabilities and environmental topics. The generous donations to these initiatives will help them overcome their challenges and improve their lives.
With this initiatives, I've signed up for a 21KM run for the Standard Chartered KL Run this year and i wanna do my run under a charity that is close to me which is Cancer Institute. All, donation that i collected through friends will be channelled to this foundation.
What surprises me is the overwhelming contribution that i've got so far. I'm happy to collect the minimal amount knowing it will go to a good cause but to collect a big amount thus far is a surprise. It put me to tears (sikit la) how kind and generous my friends are. They are in full support of the run and i'm so touched. Kindness is everywhere with you guys and i am ever grateful and i'm sure Cancer Institute is happy with your generosity. U guys are a true friend. Thank you so much as it means a world to me.
